Kierie Klapper Suite
Silvan’s Copper Delight
The Kierie Klapper, also known as the bushwillow, is famed for its copper-coloured seed pods which inspired the colour tones and design elements of this suite. The rich teal of our bee eater, a notable character throughout Silvan, also leaves its signature mark.
Different textures and delicately embroidered elements are woven into every corner of this suite. A collaborative watercolor and ink line drawing adorning the wall feeds the imagination with the story of a duiker browsing the bushwillow’s leaves while lovebirds playfully flit from branch to branch.
As Silvan's furthermost suite, it’s not surprising that Kierie Klapper attracts the most animal visitors. Boulder-like herds of grazing elephants meander down their ancient river paths right in front of this suite and Silvan’s resident leopard, Tiyani, is often seen around this area.
Exceptional seclusion immersed in refined African luxury
Inspired by the teal of our bee-eater, the four-poster king-size bed is dressed in luxurious fabrics and framed by a hand-painted mosquito net. The doors open onto an intimate seating area and the private plunge pool overlooking the riverbed below.
The luxurious bathroom, with the bathtub centre stage, prompts the eye to look through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors towards the riverbank below. The double shower and vanity add splendour to this exceptionally appointed space.
The soothing grey and blue shades of the lounge and bar are complemented by the soft hues of the watercolour and ink artwork in the background. Help yourself to a selection of only the finest spirits and delicate handmade treats.
As one of the most remote suites at Silvan, the view from Kierie Klapper is exceptional. Standing under the outdoor shower, gazing across the seasonal riverbed of the Manyeleti and extending downstream, there could be no more harmonious moment.
